Postdoc in Molecular Genetics: The Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) in Jena is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for the research group led by Prof. Dr. Christoph Englert. The institute focuses on understanding aging mechanisms and associated diseases, with an aim to improve the health of the elderly. The Englert Lab investigates the genetic basis of aging and regeneration, utilizing genomic engineering and -omics technologies.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biology, Life Science, Biomedicine, or equivalent.
- Experience in molecular cloning, genomic engineering, sequencing, and data analysis.
- Genuine interest in pursuing an independent academic career.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- FELASA-equivalent certification and experience in animal experiment planning (preferred but not mandatory).
Job Description: The Postdoc will explore the genetic basis of aging and regeneration, focusing on senescence and reprogramming. Tasks include molecular cloning, cell culture work, genomic engineering, sequencing, proteomics, and supervising students at different training levels. The candidate should be scientifically independent, capable of project planning, discussion, and communication at a high level.
