Postdoc in Germany

Postdoc in Molecular Imaging: Embark on groundbreaking research in the project “IseeG” focusing on functional optoacoustics for the early localization of gut inflammation. This project aims to develop a targeted imaging approach utilizing multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) for precise detection of inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract. Join a multidisciplinary team at the forefront of medicine and physics to advance non-invasive early detection and personalized treatment strategies.

Designation: Researcher (Functional Optoacoustics)

Research Area: Functionalizing Contrast Agents for Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography (MSOT)

Location:

  • Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Bioengineering, or related fields
  • Expertise in optoacoustic imaging techniques and molecular-sensitive ultrasound imaging
  • Proficiency in tissue and sample processing, cell culture work, and bioinformatic analyses
  • Familiarity with microscopy, including multiphoton/light sheet microscopy
  • Strong background in image data evaluation and processing
  • Knowledge of molecular biology

Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Functionalizing contrast agents for MSOT to develop a targeted imaging approach for early detection of gut inflammation
  • Tissue and sample processing, including cell, small and large animal imaging
  • Utilizing microscopy techniques, including multiphoton/light sheet microscopy
  • Conducting image data evaluation and processing
  • Engaging in partly molecular biology and cell culture work
  • Performing bioinformatic analyses for research into new optical imaging methods for inflammatory diseases
