Linköping University (LiU) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position in novel ion-channel engineering. This prestigious fellowship, funded by the Högbom-Cocozza Research Foundation, is designed to support early-career researchers in medicine and health. The successful candidate will join the Pantazis group to work on a high-impact project at the intersection of ion-channel biophysics, protein engineering, and cellular excitability.
Position Overview
| Designation | Postdoctoral Researcher |
| Research Area | Ion-channel biophysics, Protein Engineering, Cellular Excitability |
| Location | Linköping University, Sweden |
| Duration | 3 years (fixed-term) |
| Salary | SEK 43,000 per month |
| Application Deadline | November 30, 2026 |
Research Area
The project aims to engineer novel voltage-gated ion channels to provide new methods for tuning cell electrical activity. The research integrates molecular biology, electrophysiology, computational modeling, and in vivo validation. This work has transformative potential for applications in both neurobiology and cardiac electrophysiology.
Eligibility & Qualifications
To be considered for this postdoctoral fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
