Job Description

Organ-on-Chip (OoC) systems are advanced microfluidic cell culture devices that mimic in-vivo microenvironments, enabling realistic tissue and organ function expression in vitro. The 4-year “Phoenix” project focuses on creating an advanced OoC platform capable of electrical recording and mechanical stimulation of cardiac and neuro-muscular tissues while sensing their contractile force. The successful candidate will contribute to:

  • Integration of micro-electro-mechanical sensors for accurate force quantification.
  • Material selection, design, modeling, microfabrication, and characterization.
  • Collaborating with international project partners in academia and industry.

Work at ECTM guarantees exposure to a dynamic research environment with state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative culture.
