Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree (to be completed by the employment decision date).
  • Experience in semiconductors, optics, photonics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree obtained within the last three years in applied physics, optoelectronics, optics, or photonics.
  • Hands-on experience in fabrication techniques for structuring semiconductors or dielectric materials.
  • Proficient in optical characterization methods and building optical measurement setups.
  • Experience in electromagnetic design and simulations.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, particularly focusing on gender equality.
  • Strong collaborative abilities and independence.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Focus on the fabrication of dielectric metamaterials for functions such as spectrally controlled reflectivity and transmission, down conversion, and solar cells.
  • Engage in electromagnetic modeling of metamaterials and nanofabrication in a cleanroom environment.
  • Perform optical characterization and modify optical characterization tools and test stations for fabricated devices.
  • Supervise master’s and PhD students.
