Postdoc in Physical Chemistry: Uppsala University, a leading research university with a strong international standing, is seeking a Postdoc in Physical Chemistry to join the research program focused on copper and tin catalysts for electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction. The position is part of the Wallenberg Initiative Materials Science for Sustainability (WISE) and will be within the research group of Dr. Haining Tian in the Department of Chemistry – Ångström. The successful candidate will conduct research on the preparation and study of copper and tin catalysts for carbon dioxide reduction, collaborating with multiple groups at Uppsala University.

Location: Uppsala University, Department of Chemistry – Ångström, Uppsala, Sweden

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Hold a doctoral degree in chemistry or an equivalent foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a Swedish doctoral degree in chemistry (completed at the latest by the time of the employment decision).
  2. Ideally, the doctoral degree should have been obtained no more than three years before the application deadline.
  3. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a group.

Postdoc in Physical Chemistry – Copper and Tin Catalysts for Electrocatalytic Carbon Dioxide Reduction, Sweden

The responsibilities of the Postdoc include:

  1. Conducting research on copper and tin catalysts for electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction.
  2. Preparing and studying the properties of the catalysts.
  3. Collaborating with various research groups at Uppsala University.
  4. Contributing to the overall goals of the research program.
  5. Presenting research findings in scientific publications and conferences.
  6. Assisting in the supervision of students and contributing to the department’s future development.
