Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD or equivalent in (applied) mathematics, scientific computing, computational engineering, or related fields.
  • Solid knowledge in dynamical system theory, PDE analysis, or physics-informed machine learning.
  • Strong interest in applied mathematics and scientific machine learning.
  • Proficiency in programming (Python or Julia).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Develop model discovery algorithms based on neural networks for reaction-diffusion equations in sparse data settings.
  • Combine analytical tools for differential equations and machine learning effectively.
  • Conduct independent research in close collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring of younger students.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration across the department.
