Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD or equivalent in (applied) mathematics, scientific computing, computational engineering, or related fields.
- Solid knowledge in dynamical system theory, PDE analysis, or physics-informed machine learning.
- Strong interest in applied mathematics and scientific machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming (Python or Julia).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Develop model discovery algorithms based on neural networks for reaction-diffusion equations in sparse data settings.
- Combine analytical tools for differential equations and machine learning effectively.
- Conduct independent research in close collaboration with the supervisor.
- Contribute to teaching and mentoring of younger students.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration across the department.
