Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree (or equivalent) in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related subject.
- Strong affinity with experimental work related to composite manufacturing.
- Experience with thermoplastic composites is a significant advantage.
- Excellent command of English, both in communication and writing.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Must be able to obtain a knowledge embargo before the contract can be signed, if necessary.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will conduct experimental work to investigate and optimize Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) using pulsed light as a heating source. This position involves:
- Evaluating technology and comparing it with laser heating systems.
- Performing microstructural and structural characterizations.
- Defining operational and manufacturing parameters during AFP.
- Publishing scientific articles and participating in international conferences.
