Eligibility/Qualification
- A completed doctoral degree, or an equivalent foreign qualification, by the appointment decision date.
- Preference for applicants whose doctoral degree was obtained within three years prior to the application deadline.
- Required Experience:
- Culturing Helicobacter pylori, focusing on outer membrane proteins and their gene regulation.
- Molecular biology techniques for assessing gene expression.
- Co-culture of H. pylori with other bacteria and/or host cells.
- Expression and characterization of bacterial outer membrane proteins in various systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Job Description
The position focuses on the characterization of a newly discovered ancient ecospecies of Helicobacter pylori identified in regions with high gastric cancer risk. Key duties include:
- Characterizing outer membrane proteins involved in host-microbe interaction.
- Analyzing microbial adhesion and the ability to bind host cell ligands.
- Collaborating in a young, dynamic, and international environment while contributing to multiple projects.
