Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Solid background in organic and polymer chemistry.
- Essential experience with synthesis and characterization of organic molecules or polymers.
- Strong analytical skills and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Team player with a hands-on mentality.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral researcher will collaborate with the company Exergy under the EKKO Circular Plastics project. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and validating an AI-enhanced, solvent-based recycling process for complex plastic waste.
- Focusing on selective recovery of high-value polymers (e.g., PET, PS, PC, ABS) at high purity.
- Minimizing solvent consumption and energy demand.
- Characterizing the performance profile of recycled polymers through various techniques.
