Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Solid background in organic and polymer chemistry.
  • Essential experience with synthesis and characterization of organic molecules or polymers.
  • Strong analytical skills and creativity.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Team player with a hands-on mentality.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral researcher will collaborate with the company Exergy under the EKKO Circular Plastics project. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and validating an AI-enhanced, solvent-based recycling process for complex plastic waste.
  • Focusing on selective recovery of high-value polymers (e.g., PET, PS, PC, ABS) at high purity.
  • Minimizing solvent consumption and energy demand.
  • Characterizing the performance profile of recycled polymers through various techniques.
