Job Description
The postdoc will study the regulatory functions of piRNAs using genome-wide approaches, including RNA sequencing and ChIP sequencing. Experimental models will include both mosquito cell lines and adult mosquitoes. This position is part of a project funded by a VICI grant from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on small RNA pathways in relation to virus transmission in mosquitoes.
- Utilize advanced genomic tools to analyze piRNA function.
- Work collaboratively within the laboratory of Experimental Virology, under the supervision of Dr. Ronald van Rij.
- Contribute to publication efforts and present findings at conferences.
