Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Acoustics, Computational Mechanics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with polymer composites and processing.
  • Expertise in experimental testing, vibro-acoustic methods, and proficiency in simulation tools (COMSOL/ABAQUS/ANSYS/Moldflow).
  • Strong publication record (≥4 first-author ISI-indexed papers).
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary, international teams.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of machine learning, DoE, or multi-parameter optimization.
  • Experience with natural fibers, bio-based composites, and injection molding.
  • Strong interest in sustainability and circular materials.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Design, manufacture, and characterize novel composites.
  • Conduct vibro-acoustic testing and DMA-based damping analysis.
  • Develop FEM/BEM and machine learning models for optimizing acoustic performances.
  • Translate lab results into industrial injection-moulded demonstrators.
  • Lead project deliverables in Work Package 2, publish research, and co-supervise MSc/BSc students.

You will collaborate with engineers and researchers at DTU, LIST, and BSH, contributing to experimental work, process simulation, and prototyping.
