Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in systems and control
  • Strong background in nonlinear and hybrid dynamical systems, control, and optimization
  • Experience in the energy domain is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (Matlab, Python)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent collaboration skills with industry and academic researchers
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Job Description

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will focus on developing advanced control, estimation, planning, and diagnostics strategies for complex engineering systems. Your primary objective is to create resource-aware control and state estimation algorithms to effectively manage corrupted measurement data, communication constraints, and modeling uncertainties in future energy systems.

You will join Dr. Michelle Chong’s team on the project titled “ProRES: Proactive Resilience for Enhanced Energy System Flexibility and Stability,” collaborating with various academic and industrial partners.
