Location: University of Helsinki, Faculty of Medicine, Finland

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in a related field
  • Strong publication record
  • Experience in flow cytometry or multiplexed tissue imaging (IHC, IF, etc.), single-cell omics, spatial transcriptomics, and/or working with tissue samples or in vitro organoids
  • Background in immunology or related life science fields
  • Proficiency in English communication
  • Residency in Finland during the employment period

Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will work on new ERC Starter Grant- and Research Council of Finland-funded projects focusing on highly multiplexed imaging and single-cell characterization of the human thymus in myasthenia gravis and during hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. You will use modern single-cell methods to understand how the thymus protects itself from external insults, the involutive processes during normal and premature aging, and the development of neuromuscular autoimmune disease called myasthenia gravis. You will be involved in primary thymic tissue samples analysis, utilizing cutting-edge techniques including thymic organ cultures and multi-dimensional single-cell methods.
