Postdoc in Tumor Resistance: The Institute of Biotechnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IBT) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral fellow to join the Laboratory of Tumor Resistance. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on cancer resistance, mitochondria, and iron metabolism, utilizing in vitro tissue culture work and in vivo animal handling and treatment.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology
- Demonstrated history of research activities and contributions to the field
- Proven ability to engage actively in ongoing research projects
- Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Capability of mentoring and guiding PhD students
- Advanced level of written and spoken English
- Preferred expertise in mitochondrial and cancer biology and CRISPR/NGS/sc RNA-seq methods
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Data mining and evaluating the effects of potential target molecules associated with cancerogenesis, particularly those linked to tamoxifen and taxane resistance, mitochondrial function, and iron metabolism
- Conducting in vitro tissue culture work and in vivo animal handling and treatment
- Engaging in ongoing research projects related to cancer resistance, mitochondria, and iron metabolism
- Collaborating with a young, enthusiastic, and motivated research team
- Working at the Institute of Biotechnology, Czech Academy of Sciences, equipped with state-of-the-art service facilities
