Postdoc Offer on Cancer Mechanics, Paris, France

CEMEF Postdoctoral Fellowship in France- Apply by 31 October 2020

Postdoc Offer on Cancer Mechanics: A 2-year funded post-doctoral position is available for a collaborative project between the Ladoux-Mége Lab (tg://ladouxcmege-lab.cnrs.r), Institut Jacques Monod (htos://wwnw.im.1), Université Paris Cité-CNRS, and the Chavrier Lab, Institut Curie, UMR 144 (nitps:/cure f/equipe/chavrier). The project focuses on investigating the intratumor heterogeneity of breast cancers and its implications in therapy. The successful candidate will work at the interface of tumor cell biology and biophysics, analyzing collective cell behaviors, cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesions, and the mechanical properties of cancer cells.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Cancer Mechanics

Location: Paris, France

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Cell Biology with possible prior experience in microscopy and quantitative imaging.
  • Strong interdisciplinary and international background.

Job Description: The postdoctoral researcher will collaborate with the Ladoux-Mége Lab and the Chavrier Lab to investigate intratumor heterogeneity in breast cancer. The research will involve studying collective cell behaviors, analyzing cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesions, and assessing the mechanical properties of cancer cells. The project aims to understand the spatial organization of different cancer cell clones, cell sorting, cell invasion, and the role of matrix stiffness in mimicking pathological environments. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment, utilizing advanced instrumentation and expertise in cell biology, surface chemistry, biophysics, flow cytometry, electron and photonic microscopy, and proteomics.

How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their CV along with 2 reference letters to the following contacts:
