Eligibility/Qualification
Required Skills:
- Intrinsic interest and motivation for early-stage therapeutic development.
- Experience in cell culture and flow cytometry-based assays.
- Experience in primary human cell culture.
Preferred Skills:
- Affinity with immunology.
- Experience with assay design and troubleshooting.
Job Description
- Collaborate intensively with an industrial partner to evaluate putative inhibitory receptors for suppressing unwanted inflammatory responses in autoimmunity.
- Perform cellular assays to detail the expression and function of short-listed candidates using CRISPR/Cas9 in primary human cells.
- Conduct a ‘deep dive’ into a select set of candidates on immune cells from healthy controls and patients with autoimmune diseases.
- Take responsibility for developing and conducting research at UMCU.
- Manage communication between academic and industrial partners, including reporting results.
