Eligibility/Qualification: We are looking for biochemists, pharmacologists, or medicinal chemists with strong skills in written and spoken English. Applicants should have at least one first author publication in a reputable journal.
Job Description: The selected candidate(s) will be part of a unique and innovative research project focusing on peptide-based drug development for the x-opioid receptor and other G protein-coupled receptors. This project involves the synthesis of cysteine-stabilized circular peptides using a molecular grafting approach, structural analysis, in vitro receptor pharmacology, peptide biodistribution, and in vivo proof of concept studies in relevant animal models. The GruberLab collaborates with renowned institutions in Australia and the USA.
