This research will focus on developing machine learning models and methodologies to enhance the reliability and long-term performance of tandem solar cells under real-world conditions.

Eligibility/Qualification

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

Educational QualificationMSc or PhD in a relevant field.
ExperienceHands-on experience with Machine Learning modeling.
Technical SkillsCoding experience (preferably Python); basic knowledge of databases.
Domain KnowledgeBasic understanding of Photovoltaics is an advantage.
Additional ExperienceExperience with time series data analysis is a plus.
Language ProficiencyProficient oral and written English. German is a plus.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, your primary tasks will include:

  • Developing and testing machine learning algorithms for modeling the energy yield and degradation of perovskite tandem solar cells.
  • Cleaning, preparing, and analyzing datasets.
  • Assisting with the integration of experimental data into the data management system.
  • Identifying failure modes through analysis of outdoor datasets, indoor aging tests, and post-mortem data.
  • Writing scientific papers and presenting research at conferences and seminars.
  • Collaborating with project teams, including industry partners, to propose alternative manufacturing methods and early detection algorithms.
