Postdoc Position – Diabetes Research: The NIDDK Information Network (dkNET) is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher with expertise in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to join our team at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This position focuses on integrating AI methodologies into the dkNET’s Computational Core for advancing diabetes research.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Required:
- PhD in AI/ML, Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field.
- Strong background in AI/ML methods including large language models, generative AI, agentic AI, and federated learning.
- Project management and coordination experience.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Commitment to a minimum of two years.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of diabetes research or related biomedical fields.
- Experience working on collaborative, multi-group projects.
Job Description:
- Develop, deploy, and integrate AI/ML models within the dkNET Computational Core.
- Support and manage the dkNET AI Pilot Program, ensuring project timelines are adhered to.
- Help establish and foster the AI/ML research community.
- Prepare progress reports and organize meetings and related activities.
- Coordinate with various research groups and principal investigators (PIs).
- Collaborate with the dkNET team on NIDDK’s AI initiatives related to diabetes.
