Postdoc Position – Human Genetics: The Division of Human Genetics in Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join the Gelernter Lab. The research will primarily focus on the genetics of psychiatric illness, including posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and related traits.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- MD or PhD in human genetics and/or statistics
- Strong background in human genetics and/or statistics, including knowledge of genomewide methods such as GWAS and post-GWAS analysis
- Comfort with bioinformatics
- US citizenship or permanent residency preferred
Job Description:
The selected candidate will work on various research projects, including genetics of posttraumatic stress disorder, suicidality, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and other related psychiatric traits. Additionally, the role will involve collaboration in Psychiatric Genomics Consortium projects, studies in non-European populations, and analysis of large datasets such as the Million Veteran Program. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with peers at Yale and collaborate nationally and internationally to bring research to publication.
