Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in molecular biology, molecular genetics, functional genomics, cell biology, or related fields.
  • Strong background in plant molecular biology with a competitive track record as a first author.
  • Solid experience in molecular biological methods and plant genetics.
  • Desirable: Experience in RNA splicing analysis, genomics, or plant temperature response.
  • Excellent communication skills in scientific English (both oral and written).
  • Doctoral degree obtained within the last three years.

Job Description:
The successful applicant will:

  • Conduct research to explore how RNA splicing contributes to temperature acclimation in plants.
  • Work with molecular biology, genetics, and genomic techniques using model plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana and hybrid aspen.
  • Analyze the effects of temperature on RNA splicing capacity and investigate spliceosome mutations’ role in temperature acclimation.
  • Collaborate with team members, contributing to projects aimed at improving plant resistance to temperature variations and environmental stresses, ultimately supporting sustainable agriculture.
