Postdoc position in composite materials: Luleå University of Technology is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Division of Materials Science. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of biocomposites with a focus on sustainability and structural performance. The research will be conducted as part of a project on cellulose and nanocellulose reinforced composites, with the aim of creating high-performance biocomposite materials for demanding applications. Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must hold a PhD or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD in materials science, materials chemistry, or a related field. The doctoral degree should have been obtained no more than three years before the application deadline. Strong independent research skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in English are required.
Job Description: The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for developing novel structural composites based on cellulose and testing them for various applications. The work will involve collaboration with other team members and academic partners. Additionally, the researcher will contribute to writing publications and disseminating project results. Preferred skills include experience with biobased materials, electrospinning or ice-templating of nanocellulose or polymers, and advanced characterization methods such as electron microscopy, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and BET.
