Job Description
The successful candidate will join the Horizon Europe Pathfinder project HYBRAIN, coordinated by the University of Twente in collaboration with IBM Zürich and the universities of Oxford and Heidelberg. The project aims to develop a new technology for ultra-fast and energy-efficient edge AI inference using a unique, brain-inspired hybrid architecture integrating photonics and unconventional electronics with collocated memory and processing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing efficient CMOS-based electronics and machine-learning procedures for hybrid architectures of DNPU networks, integrated photonics, and analog in-memory computing
- Collaborating with a dynamic team of researchers from leading institutions
- Contributing to groundbreaking research published in high-impact journals
