Postdoc Position in Environmental Technology: Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC) is offering a full-time postdoctoral researcher position in the Centre for Green Chemistry and Environmental Biotechnology. The successful candidate will conduct research in environmental technology and will have a teaching duty as part of the role.

Ghent University Global Campus, Incheon, South Korea

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bioscience Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields (to be completed by April 30, 2025).
  • Strong experimental skills in catalyst synthesis and photocatalytic process optimization.
  • Expertise in modeling for adsorption and degradation reactions in water and air treatment.
  • Experience in synthesizing nanomaterials and their characterization techniques.
  • Proven track record of first-author publications in reputable journals.
  • Experience in supervising students and teaching assistance.
  • Proficiency in English (minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80 or IELTS score of 6.5).

Job Description:

  • Engage in teaching undergraduate courses related to chemistry and engineering.
  • Conduct innovative research focusing on environmental process technology and upcycling waste to chemicals.
  • Develop and execute a doctoral research proposal within the first three months.
  • Collaborate on publications and present research findings at international conferences.
  • Mentor junior researchers and students while supporting center/lab management activities.
