Eligibility / Qualification
- Education: PhD in Ecology, Biodiversity Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- Research Track Record: Independent research experience accompanied by scientific publications.
- Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience at the BSc and/or MSc level.
- Technical Skills: Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated experience with reproducible workflows in R and/or Python.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English.
Job Description
- Research: Develop an independent research profile focusing on biodiversity patterns across spatial scales, ecological forecasting, spatial ecology, and functional approaches to communities in changing landscapes (developed jointly with the group).
- Teaching: Deliver academic instruction in the BSc Geoökologie and MSc CLEWS (Climate, Earth, Water, Sustainability) programmes, covering approximately one-third of the total working hours.
- Collaboration & Output: Publish findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and contribute actively to the group’s research environment.
