Postdoc position in Machine Learning: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg invites applications for a Postdoc position in Machine Learning. This position is part of a collaboration between the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) and the SciLifeLab and Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS), focusing on membrane protein function, evolution, and disease.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Machine-Learning how our Cells Capture Energy – Data-Driven Studies of Membrane Protein Function, Evolution, and Disease

Location: Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D., doctorate, or equivalent degree awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Time management skills and aptitude for project leadership.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will:

  • Lead research projects in collaboration with project PIs.
  • Mentor and co-supervise junior researchers.
  • Develop and implement scientific ideas using ML approaches with computational, biochemical, biophysical, and structural data.
  • Establish research collaborations and communicate results orally or in written form via scientific venues.

Contract Terms: Full-time temporary employment for two years.
