Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, or a related field, with a strong publication record in top-tier machine learning venues such as ICML, NeurIPS, and AAAI. A strong background in Economics, both theoretical and computational, is highly encouraged.
Job Description:
- Conduct innovative research at the intersection of machine learning and economic theory.
- Focus on out-of-distribution generalization, causality, incentive-aware machine learning, collaborative learning, and learning in games.
- Publish findings in top-tier venues and collaborate with research groups within CISPA and its partners, including Helmholtz AI Cooperation Unit and Saarland Informatics Campus.
- Contribute to international collaborations and interdisciplinary research efforts.
- Access to research equipment and support for attending international conferences.
What We Offer:
- Full-time employment with a gross monthly salary between €4000 and €6000, depending on experience, according to the E13 TVöD-Bund scale.
