Eligibility/Qualification
Applicants must hold a PhD in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a similar field. Candidates should fulfill the following criteria:
- Experience in cutting-edge light microscopy and neurobiology is essential.
- Skills in super-resolution microscopy are highly desirable.
- A track record of international mobility and publication experience.
- Collaboration and project management skills are advantageous.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in an international environment.
- Personal skills such as teamwork and lab leadership are preferred.
Job Description
- Conduct research under the supervision of Dr. Poul Henning Jensen and Dr. Chao Sun.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as DNA PAINT, expansion microscopy, subcellular proteomics, live-neuron imaging, and a-synuclein seeding assays.
- Collaborate with experts in Parkinson’s Disease and cryogenic electron tomography.
- Work primarily with primary rodent neuron cultures and patient-derived brain tissues.
- Encouraged to apply for external funding and develop grant writing, networking, and scientific communication skills.
- Mentor PhD/Master’s/Bachelor’s thesis students and present findings at international conferences.
- Participate in daily lab management, project meetings, seminars, and retreats.
