Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, genetics, or other related life science disciplines.
- PhD degree must not have been obtained earlier than 2019.
- A strong background in molecular biology techniques.
- Passion for science, creativity, and the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Experience in in vitro cell culture, RNA biology techniques, or mitochondrial biology is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Job Description
The successful candidate will contribute to the project focused on:
- Identifying regulators of human mitochondrial mRNA levels.
- Investigating the role of posttranscriptional processing and translation in mt-mRNA regulation.
- Conducting functional studies of identified proteins and pathways.
- Engaging in high-throughput siRNA-based screenings and analyzing resultant data.
The position will allow for skill development in supervising younger researchers, with no teaching obligations, and opportunities for participation in international courses, workshops, and conferences.
