Eligibility/Qualification:
- University degree (MSc) and a PhD degree in livestock farming or biology, and sensing technology or advanced statistics
- Affinity with livestock systems within a broader biological and agricultural context
- Proven scientific ambition and performance in scientific publishing
- Experience with various types of teaching and a desire to develop further
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage)
- Team player with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Female researchers are encouraged to apply
Job Description:
You will be involved in research, supervision, and education in the field of Precision Livestock Farming. Specific responsibilities include:
- Supervising ongoing PhD projects
- Acquiring new PhD projects
- Educational tasks (teaching, practicals, examination, coordination) in 2-3 BSc or MSc courses in biosystems engineering
- Supervising BSc and MSc theses and internships
- Collaborating with an international team of scientists and teaching staff from diverse backgrounds
