Postdoc Position: Microbiology Research: We aim to discover novel microbial modulators of host-microbiome functions and interactions. In this context, we are looking for a senior scientist to lead their own innovative computational investigations of multi-omics data, and to supervise and manage other computational projects in the lab.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Background in computational analysis of omics data
  • Background in microbiology experiments
  • Experience in team management
  • Experience in project administration and organization
  • Interest in co-supervision of graduate/PhD students within our group

Job Description:

  • Your role:
    • You are the core computational scientist of the Groussin lab, leading multi-omics data science projects
    • Coordinating & managing computational projects led by other scientists in the lab
    • Build SOPs for data analysis and management within the lab
    • Mentoring and training of junior scientists
    • Coordination and organization of group meetings and bioinformatic workshops
  • Start in our team:
    • We are looking for professional and competent support to start as soon as possible, limited for 3 years
  • What we offer:
    • The salary will be based on the German E 14 TV-L scale, if terms and conditions under collective bargaining law are fulfilled
    • A full-time employment, currently 38.5 hours/week; a part-time employment may be compatible within the framework of certain working time models
