Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. degree in a highly technical discipline (computer science, electrical engineering, etc.) with outstanding academic performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical power systems and power electronics.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of power electronic systems and identification of resonances and instabilities.
  • Solid programming skills in C++ (knowledge of PSCAD is a plus).
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
  • Independent, self-motivated, and eager to learn; a collaborative spirit is essential.

Job Description:

The postdoctoral researcher will investigate harmonic stability in HVDC systems and propose mitigation measures. The role involves:

  • Developing mathematical frameworks for identifying instabilities and resonances within HPS.
  • Implementing algorithms in C++ to be integrated into the Harmony toolbox.
  • Working closely with Dr. Aleksandra Lekić and collaborating with various academic and industrial partners.
  • Engaging in broader research initiatives within the Electrical Sustainable Energy department to contribute to sustainable energy solutions.
