Postdoc Position: Multi-Omics Dynamics: The Biomedical Center at LMU Munich invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Sleep and Circadian-Driven Nuclear Multi-Omics Dynamics. This position is within the Systems Chronobiology department and offers an exciting opportunity to join the Robles group in a collaborative project funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Neurodegeneration Challenge Network (NCDN). The project aims to characterize circadian and sleep-driven nuclear multi-omics dynamics in diverse mouse brain cells using advanced RNAseq and proteomics technology.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent in biochemistry, bioinformatics, or similar field.
  • Experience with high-throughput quantitative proteomics and DIA methods; subcellular proteomics background is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in operating nanoLC-HPLC and Thermo Orbitrap instruments.
  • Ability to perform large-scale multi-omics data analysis and programming skills (R, Python).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Capability to work independently, interact within a multicultural team and mentor students.

Job Description:

  • Utilize subcellular fractionation methods and prepare samples for proteomics and phosphoproteomics.
  • Operate Thermo HPLC and Orbitrap mass spectrometer systems proficiently.
  • Conduct large-scale proteomics data processing, bioinformatic analyses, and integrate multi-omics data.
  • Communicate scientific results effectively through oral presentations and written reports.
  • Manage a high-prestige international collaborative project and interact within the CZI network.
  • Provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students.
