Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree (or soon to complete) in electrochemistry, electrochemical synthesis, electrocatalysis, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience in vibrational and in-situ spectroscopy techniques preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a creative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary and international environment, including with industrial partners.
Job Description:
The Postdoc will contribute to the project “Steering Formose Selectivity through Electrochemical Reduction of Aldehydes: Towards Conversion of Biomass to Green Artificial Sugars – FORESEE”. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and optimizing electrochemical processes for biomass conversion.
- Investigating effects of electrolyte pH, applied potential, current density, and electrode materials.
- Analyzing reaction kinetics, selectivity, and mechanistic aspects.
- Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.
