Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree in molecular biology, plant genetics, plant cell biology, or related fields (preferably obtained within the last three years).
- Proven expertise in plant pathology and plant-microbe interactions.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics, genomics, evolutionary analyses, reverse genetics, confocal microscopy, and gene functional techniques is a plus.
- Strong initiative, creativity, and independent thinking.
- Excellent communication skills in scientific English; skills in Swedish are advantageous but not required.
Job Description
The successful candidate will join the team led by Professor Christina Dixelius to explore the interactions between red clover genotypes and soilborne fungi. The position includes:
- Collaborating on genomic and pathogen research.
- Conducting independent research within the area of bacterial-fungal interactions, focusing on Rhizobium species.
- Utilizing various omics approaches to investigate pathogens and their effects on plant health.
