Postdoc Position: Organic Chemistry- Are you interested in exploring chemistry away from equilibrium? Are you fascinated by dynamic processes? As a member of our group, you will aim to realize artificial systems that can harvest energy to realize non-spontaneous (endergonic) processes. You will work in an international and collaborative environment at the Institute for Supramolecular Science and Engineering (ISIS, Strasbourg, FR), which hosts world-renowned leaders in the field of supramolecular chemistry and beyond.
Postdoc Position in Non-Equilibrium Systems and/or Physical Organic Chemistry
Organization/Company: University of Strasbourg
Research Field: Chemistry » Molecular Chemistry
Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)
Country: France
Application Deadline: 6 May 2024 – 11:00 (Europe/Paris)
Type of Contract: Temporary
Job Status: Full-time
Offer Starting Date: 10 Jan 2024
Funded through EU Research Framework Programme: H2020 / ERC
Reference Number: ERC-2021-StG n. 101041933
Offer Description:
You will engineer small molecules that can undergo dynamic processes and unravel how they respond to external energy sources. You will develop skills in organic, physical, and supramolecular chemistry, applied to non-equilibrium systems, with possibilities to expand towards biochemistry, electrochemistry, and vibrational strong coupling. Find out more about our work on our website.
The group currently includes 3 Postdocs, 5 PhDs, and 2 MSc students, with postdocs actively involved in the training of PhD and MSc students, as well as in project development. Depending on your profile, the position might be associated with the ERC StG grant KI-NET (2022-2027, non-equilibrium systems), or a project devoted to vibrational strong coupling, in collaboration with the group of Prof. Ebbesen in the same institute (ISIS). In both cases, the projects offer interactions with other groups in Strasbourg and/or abroad.
