Research Area:

The project focuses on developing reversible reduction of highly concentrated bicarbonate/formate solutions for long-duration storage in redox flow batteries.

Location:

University of Twente, Enschede, Netherlands

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Nanoscience/Technology.
  • Experience in electrochemical engineering and/or reactor/process design and evaluation.
  • Fluent in English and capable of collaborative communication.

Job Description:

The PostDoc position will involve:

  • Developing stack systems for the reduction of bicarbonate/formate solutions.
  • Benchmarking against known vanadium redox couples.
  • Creating and assessing a trickle bed reactor that includes a “booster” for redox chemistry.
  • Collaborating with internal and external parties in regular meetings and research activities.
