Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to synthesize the lessons learned from pioneering projects in Amsterdam, Delft, and Maastricht related to Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design. As part of a collaborative team, you will compare and contrast findings, integrate lessons, and develop an overarching approach to address the tensions between safety, sustainability, and circularity values. Key responsibilities include:
- Integrating insights on safety, sustainability, and circularity
- Investigating ecosystems of actors and their interdependencies
- Studying decision-making dynamics
- Comparing findings with lessons learned elsewhere
- Developing an overall approach to Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design
- Contributing to a productive team effort
Requirements:
- PhD in social studies of science and technology (STS), Innovation Studies, or similar field
- Experience in researching industrial dynamics
- Strong writing skills with a sensibility for policy relevance
- Interest in collaborative interdisciplinary research
- Proficiency in English, and preferably some understanding of Dutch
