Eligibility/Qualification

  • Must Have:
  • PhD in molecular biology or a related field
  • Experience in genomics experiments and/or bioinformatics analysis
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, HiC, or DamID
  • Experience in bioinformatics analysis of short reads
  • Proven publication record
  • Advantageous:
  • Background in neurobiology and mouse genetics
  • Experience in machine learning

Job Description

  • Contribute to a project on the epigenetic and transcriptional basis of neuroplasticity under the mentorship of Group Leader Taro Kitazawa.
  • Utilize cutting-edge genomics technologies including but not limited to bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, HiC, and DamID.
  • Engage in bioinformatics analysis of genomic data.
  • Collaborate closely with lab members working on in vivo mouse circuits, electrophysiology, and behavioral analyses.
  • Opportunity to develop skills in grant writing, networking, and scientific communication, with chances to present at international conferences.
  • Participate in daily lab management, project meetings, department seminars, and institute retreats within a dynamic international team.
