Two Postdoc positions on Quantum Electronics, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden

Study in Sweden

Postdoc positions on Quantum Electronics: We are seeking two highly motivated Postdoctoral researchers to join our experimental research group on Spintronics and Quantum Electronics, focusing on 2D topological quantum materials heterostructure devices. The project aims to explore electronic, quantum, and spin transport properties in nanoscale devices using 2D quantum materials heterostructures with twist angle control for spintronic memory, logic, and quantum electronics applications.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researchers

Research Area: Spintronics and Quantum Electronics, 2D Materials

Location: Chalmers, Quantum Device Physics Laboratory, Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Gothenburg

Eligibility/Qualification: To qualify for the position, you must hold a doctoral degree awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.

Job Description:

Two Postdoc positions on 2D Spintronics and Quantum Electronics Ref REF 2023-0675

The responsibilities include conducting research on emerging 2D quantum materials at the atomic scale and their van der Waals heterostructures with moiré superlattice. Tasks involve the preparation/growth of 2D materials, creating heterostructures, cleanroom nanofabrication with electron beam lithography, structural characterization, and electronic, spintronic, and quantum transport measurements. The position also involves contributing to new concepts in device physics and applications in nanoelectronics, spintronics, and quantum technologies.
