Job Description:
Postdoc: Profiling the Evolutionary Adaptation of the Zymoseptoria tritici to Control Measures and Changing Temperatures Ref SLU.ua.2024.2.5.1-27
The postdoctoral scientist will contribute to a Formas-supported project, employing population genomics and transcriptomics approaches to understand Zymoseptoria tritici’s adaptation to crop resistance and temperature changes. The research involves comparative analyses of genomic and transcriptomic characters, pathogenicity, and fungicide resistance among field populations. The candidate will integrate evolutionary knowledge into mathematical models to project future Septoria epidemics and optimize mitigation. The position is for 24 months, and the successful candidate will collaborate with domestic and international research groups. Responsibilities also include supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
How to Apply: Interested applicants should submit a single PDF file to Prof. Jiasui Zhan (firstname.surname@slu.se) by January 21, 2024.
