Summary
The CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, in partnership with the Medical University of Vienna, St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute (St. Anna CCRI), and AITHYRA, is recruiting an ambitious group of postdoctoral researchers. This 3 to 6-year program is designed to prepare postdocs for a successful ERC Starting Grant application and an independent research career in top global research organizations. Selected candidates will address ground-breaking biomedical research questions with a strong translational and clinical focus to establish themselves as future scientific leaders.

Location
Vienna, Austria (Based at the CeMM Research Center on the campus of the General Hospital and the Medical University of Vienna, as well as the St. Anna CCRI. Select projects operate in partnership with institutes in Graz and Innsbruck).
Eligibility/Qualification
- Degree: Must hold a PhD (natural sciences) or MD (medical sciences), or be awarded the degree by the start of the program.
- Graduation Date: The PhD defense date must be no earlier than 2024.
- Publications: Must have at least one first-author publication published by the time of starting the Postdoc.
- Background: Open to various academic backgrounds including molecular biology, biomedical research, bioinformatics, biochemistry, and bioengineering.
- Profile: Requires scientific quality, originality, international professional experience, a collaborative/interdisciplinary mindset, and the potential to receive a future ERC Starting Grant.
Job Description
- Engage in top-level, cutting-edge biomedical research with a strong medical and translational focus.

- Participate in a comprehensive training program covering project management, scientific writing, visual communication, entrepreneurship, leadership, and data science.
