The lab focuses on understanding protein homeostasis in mammalian oocytes and its deterioration during reproductive aging. Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- Proven track record of research excellence (co- or first-author publication)
- Team player with a collaborative spirit
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience with proteostasis, endolysosomal trafficking, protein biochemistry, or biomolecular condensates
- Willingness to work with mice (accreditation for animal experimentation desirable)
- Experience in oocyte/embryo manipulation, imaging, image analysis, or in vitro reconstituted systems is advantageous
Job Description:
- Investigate the regulation of endolysosomal super-organelles in mouse oocytes and their decline during reproductive aging
- Perform isolation, microinjection, immunostaining, and imaging of mouse oocytes and embryos
- Optimize proteomics and lipidomics techniques for mouse oocytes
- Independently develop and manage a research project under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI)
- Supervise undergraduate students and share knowledge
- Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and support within the lab
