Job Description

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to:

  • Develop probabilistic, statistical, and game-theoretical methods for nuclear safeguards.
  • Integrate existing quantitative methods with contemporary AI/ML algorithms.
  • Contribute to standardizing methodologies for detection probability calculations.
  • Enhance and harmonize random verification schemes and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Review, update, and consolidate methodologies, including Bayesian techniques, for material balance evaluation.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or another relevant natural or engineering science.
  • Proficient knowledge in uncertainty quantification, random sampling, data evaluation methodologies, and game theory.
  • Understanding of the nuclear fuel cycle and non-proliferation approaches.
  • Strong teamwork skills and an independent work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
