PostDoc Research Position: The Cluster of Excellence livMatS is inviting applications for a PostDoc research position in the project “Frequency-tunable Triboelectric Generators.” This project is part of the German Excellence Cluster “livMatS,” focusing on “Living, energy-autonomous, and adaptive Materials Systems.” The successful candidate will contribute to the development of frequency-tunable triboelectric generators for harvesting electrical energy from variable ambient vibrations.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Excellent university degree and PhD in a relevant field
  • Broad knowledge in modeling, design, fabrication, and application of microsystems and miniaturized systems
  • Expertise in material sciences and measurement techniques
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multinational team
  • Strong engagement and ambition

Job Description:

PostDoc Research Position – Frequency-tunable Triboelectric Generators

The candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Designing a suitable concept, including mechanical modeling through COMSOL.
  2. Building and integrating vibration harvesters with triboelectric materials (3D printing, laser machining, etc.).
  3. Testing and characterizing devices using electronic measurement equipment.
  4. Networking and cooperation, participating in the 2nd phase livMatS proposal preparation.
