Research Area:
The candidate will focus on the European Union funded project ‘Linked User-driven Multidisciplinary Exploration Network’ (LUMEN), which aims to innovate cross-disciplinary approaches to enhance research efficiency within mathematics and related domains.
Location:
Berlin, Germany.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Studies in the field of Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in professional software development is desirable.
- Contributions to Open-Source Software are advantageous.
- Strong code quality awareness and knowledge of coding best practices.
- Experience with PHP, MediaWiki framework, Linked Open Data (e.g., SPARQL) is desirable.
- Familiarity with graph databases is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork abilities.
Job Description:
As part of the LUMEN project, the role includes:
- Designing a FAIR semantic space.
- Researching AI-supported extraction of semantics from mathematical documentation.
- Advancing tools for upcoming publication processes in mathematics.
- Enhancing connections between publications and code.
