Postdocs in Vascular Biology: The Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University is seeking enthusiastic and passionate researchers at the Postdoctoral level to join their team. The positions are available in the field of vascular biology and cancer, focusing on investigating how blood vessels respond to the tissue microenvironment and how their properties change in response to inflammation, particularly in cases of obesity and cancer. The project aims to explore the biology of candidate proteins involved in endothelial cell activation and modulation during inflammation. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for a duration of 2 years.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, molecular pharmacology, or closely related disciplines
- Extensive cell culture experience, including handling primary cells (e.g., endothelial cells, cancer cells, adipocytes, macrophages, lymphocytes, and/or fibroblasts)
- Experience working with mouse models (e.g., tumor inoculation, measurements, drug treatments, standard dissections, and surgery)
- Proven scientific track-record and a thorough understanding of vascular biology and inflammation, preferably tumor and/or adipose tissue biology
- Excellent experimental and methodological skills
- Fluent in oral and written English
Job Description: As a Postdoc in the Department of Biomedicine, your primary responsibility will be to conduct research in the field of vascular biology, obesity, and cancer. You will collaborate with other members of the laboratory and external collaborators, developing expertise in areas necessary for the successful progress of your project. Teaching assignments may also be part of your role. The work will be conducted in a multidisciplinary environment bridging academia and clinical research. You will report to Associate Professor Joanna Kalucka.
