Eligibility/Qualification
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Expertise in algal biotechnology and laboratory cultivation of marine microalgae, assessed through peer-reviewed publications.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with microalgae physiological methods and biochemical analyses of biomass.
- Documented teaching experience in relevant fields.
Job Description
The main responsibilities of the postdoctoral candidate include:
- Selection and cultivation of microalgae strains in laboratory multi-cultivator systems.
- Monitoring growth conditions through chlorophyll fluorescence and absorbance.
- Achieving optimal biomass yield while ensuring the highest quality of water treatment.
- Participation in consortium meetings, research conferences, and outreach activities.
- Assisting in teaching (up to a maximum of 20% of the time) if desired.
