Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Expertise in algal biotechnology and laboratory cultivation of marine microalgae, assessed through peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with microalgae physiological methods and biochemical analyses of biomass.
  • Documented teaching experience in relevant fields.

Job Description

The main responsibilities of the postdoctoral candidate include:

  • Selection and cultivation of microalgae strains in laboratory multi-cultivator systems.
  • Monitoring growth conditions through chlorophyll fluorescence and absorbance.
  • Achieving optimal biomass yield while ensuring the highest quality of water treatment.
  • Participation in consortium meetings, research conferences, and outreach activities.
  • Assisting in teaching (up to a maximum of 20% of the time) if desired.
