Eligibility/Qualification: Eligibility criteria and qualifications vary according to the program:
- Postdoctoral Research Scientists: Applications are welcomed from new Ph.D. graduates or more experienced researchers. Postdoctoral appointments are typically for one year, with the possibility of a one-year renewal. Competitive salaries are offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Visiting Research Scientists: These positions are intended for independent researchers and senior scientists interested in visiting GFDL for collaboration, sabbatical, or short-term visits. Advanced degrees are required.
Job Description: The programs encompass various areas of climate sciences, including but not limited to atmospheric physics and chemistry, climate dynamics, biogeochemistry, climate impacts, oceanography, and societal impacts of climate and environmental change. Research projects are conducted in collaboration with scientists from Princeton University and NOAA-GFDL.
